Regular international and domestic flights to the North Island arrive at Auckland and Wellington airports. For Australian visitors, flights into Hamilton and Palmerston North are available with Freedom Air. Upon arriving in New Zealand, your journey to Ohakune can be made by car, bus or train.

How to find us

Once in Ohakune, the Powderhorn Chateau is easy to find; simply locate the i-SITE and take the road directly opposite here - this is Goldfinch Street. If coming from the south, turn right into Goldfinch Street, if coming from the north, turn left into Goldfinch Street.  Travel 2.5 kilometres along Goldfinch Street and you will see us located on the right-hand side just before a low-level bridge.
